For a peaceful holiday in a wonderful Moors village, Damson Croft would be hard to beat.

Surrounded by a glorious and private garden, the accommodation was beautifully presented with all that one on holiday would require. We were entirely left to our own devices and simply enjoyed the surroundings. We sampled both the local pub and The Grange Hotel, both of which gave us a very warm welcome. Highly recommended, and we look forward to another visit.

We had a lovely week in Damson Croft, as always. Accommodation in the charming little gardeners cottage is home from home for us. I started visiting as a young child more than 30 years ago and now enjoy bringing my own family. The quaint little house is clean and well equipped; Rob and Patsie are very accommodating and helpful hosts. The gardens are beautiful with lots of space for the children to enjoy a run around and plenty of peaceful spots too. Lastingham is a great location to explore the North Yorkshire moors, coast and York area. We’ll be back and can wholeheartedly recommend visiting.

We had an excellent stay at Damson Croft, it was very comfortable and quiet, the beautiful garden was a joy to relax in. The walks suggested by Rob and Patsie in the local area were easy to follow and took in great scenery. We were both sorry to leave.
